Step 1: Database Connections
Configure your source and destination database connections.
Seed = vendor baseline schema + data. Implementation = customer-specific config records.
Source Database(s)
Select connections containing data to migrate.
File sources support Excel (.xlsx, .xls), CSV, and TSV files
Destination Database
Select or create destination database.
Step 2: Schema Extraction
Extract and review the metadata from your databases.
Step 3: Table Mappings
Configure how source tables map to destination tables.
Step 4: Data Quality & Merge Conflicts
Scan your source data for quality issues and potential merge conflicts.
🔀 Merge Conflict Detection
Scan for records that exist in both source and destination with different values. Configure merge rules to handle these automatically.
Step 5: Validation & Migration
Add optional assertions, run a dry run to validate, then execute migration.
📋 Migration Assertions
(Optional)Migration Options
ℹ️ Validation Library rules will not run during dry runs. They validate actual destination data after migration.
Creates a restore point automatically. If migration fails, destination is auto-restored.
Step 6: Migration Results
Review the migration results.
Query the destination database to verify migrated data
Step 7: Compare & Validate
Verify migrated data using file comparisons, validation rules, and ad-hoc queries against the destination database.
